Membership
By recommendation only
The Order is open to Christians of every denomination. Admission to the Grand Priory of Bulgaria is by recommendation of an existing member of the Order.
The Order is a Christian order of chivalry, ecumenical in character. Its members are Christians of every church, Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, Anglican and others, united in service to their neighbour.
The Order admits men and women who wish to give part of their time and means to people in need. Membership is not offered on request. It grows out of personal acquaintance and shared values.
Before being proposed for admission, each candidate has time to come to know the Priory, take part in its work and decide whether to take on the commitment that membership brings.

- AcquaintanceThe candidate takes part in the Priory's meetings and work.
- ProposalThe Grand Prior puts the candidate forward for admission.
- InvestitureReception into the Order at a solemn ceremony.
